DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a synthetic nonapeptide: Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu. First characterized in 1977 from rabbit brain tissue extracts.
Contains high proportion of small neutral amino acids with tryptophan at N-terminus and glutamic acid at C-terminus giving net negative charge. Soluble in sterile water or bacteriostatic water. Store at -20°C protected from light and moisture.
